How i got into Cricut!!
For Erica's craft room we are telling our stories about how we got into Cricut for a chance at a sweet giveaway!! I was watching a commercial by PC one day and they were showing amazing projects. My husband looked over and asked if I wanted it. I said no I probably wouldn't use it. Ha. Deep inside I was thinking it was the greatest thing I had ever seen!! Anyway time goes by and christmas is around the corner. My hubby kept asking me what i wanted. I said nothing and he said fine you aren't getting anything! LOL i figured he was teasing. By then i knew i couldn't ask for the Cricut :( . I wasn't expecting what was under the tree!! Oh wow!! Guess what? I opened a brand new Cricut Expression! And that is where it all started. Poor hubby didn't know he would create a scrapping monster!! Teehee. Loved sharing my story with you!! Share yours if you would like. For the calender i cut the "grid" at 5.5, March at 2 and the numbers at 1 inch from the Designer's Calendar Cricut cartridge. For March and the first shamrock, i used a pattern from the Imagine cartridge Bubblegum Stripes. I allso cut the flourishes(next to March) at 2 inches using the cartridge Stretch Your Imagination. My Valentine Card:
For the 2nd day of the hop i used 3 cartridges for my valentine card! I used doodlecharms cartridge for the scalloped hearts, Best Images of 2009 for the Love You, and one of my faves and oldest cartridges Potpourri Basket for the intricately cut heart. I filled the red heart in with glitter glue and then used Pearlized paper bought at Hobby Lobby(The Paper Studio) and ribbon from the fabric section. Scrapbook Friday!!
Today i made a layout using green for Erica's DT project. This was a simple yet fun layout! I used the dinosaur from Create a Critter(isn't he cute?). For the font i used George and Basic Shapes. The grass was punched from a fiskar punch and the cuttlebug folder, tiny bubbles was used. Hope you enjoyed my layout!
